Dear Valued Cotati Dental Wellness Patient:
We hope this message finds you and your family in good health! We are excited to let you know that as of last week, the Sonoma County Department of Public Health has lifted all restrictions on routine dental care, including cleanings.
While we have rescheduled non-urgent dental appointments over the past two months, we have been hard at work taking care of patients with emergency dental needs. This has kept patients with dental infections out of hospital ERs and reduced strain on our health system.
We have also been preparing the office to re-open with updated infection control policies and procedures. We want you to know that we have always adhered to the highest standards for infection control and recommendations from the American Dental Association (ADA), CDC, and OSHA.
As we re-open, you will notice some changes at our office which will enable us to provide the safest environment for our patients and staff. These changes include the following:
We are installing partitions between treatment rooms, plexi-glass sneeze guards in the front office, a NASA-grade air purification system, hepa filtration units, and are utilizing other innovative technology for clearing aerosols from treatment rooms.
Upon scheduling and confirming an appointment, we will ask several health screening questions. We will postpone treatment for any patient testing positive to COVID-19 or who has experienced or been in contact with someone who has experienced the following symptoms within 14 days: fever, cough, loss of taste and/or smell, flu-like symptoms, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, and fatigue. We will additionally screen patients and staff on arrival to the office, including performing no-touch temperature checks.
Please check in to appointments from your car! Upon arrival at our office, call us at 707-795-6424. When your room is ready, we will let you know and take you there directly.
We ask that every patient wear a face covering on entry and exit from the office and practice social distancing in the reception area.
We have hand sanitizer for your use at the front desk and throughout the office. We have removed hard to disinfect items like pens and magazines from the waiting area.
We ask that only patients enter our office at this time. If a patient is a minor or needs assistance, we ask that only one adult accompany the patient into the office.
Appointments will be managed to allow for safe social distancing. This may mean that you are offered fewer appointment options. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep our patients and staff safe.
Again, thank you so much for your support. We are proud to serve your oral healthcare needs and thank you for being part of our dental practice family. We look forward to seeing you soon!
